Let's start with the basics... What is LoL? According to Wikipedia: League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X, inspired by the mod Defense of the Ancients for the video game Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. It is a free-to-play game, supported by micro-transactions. It was first announced on October 7, 2008, and released on October 27, 2009. League of Legends was generally well received at release, and has grown in popularity in the years since. For you non-gamers, it's a game you play online and beat stuff up. :) Now, what is Summoner School? Summoner School is the most comprehensive training course to get good at League of Legends. It is offer by LoL Guides. From their site: Summoner School is the most comprehensive course ever written to win at LoL and free yourself from noob teammates. As a student you access a members-only portal with all the lessons, videos, tier-raising tools, and resources. - See more at: http://www.lolguides.com/overview#sthash.kZzcNWdD.dpuf At Last! A Guide To Escape League Hell And Carry Any Noob Summoner School teaches you how to get so good you carry feeders, get platinum-tier, and even win 4v5 when someone is afk. If you're an LoL player than you'll absolutely want to take advantage of their 5-day trial- it will be a big help! Now, here's the catch, if you've never played LoL before but you really want to and are hoping to get some awesome tidbits from this, you might want to go through the in-game tutorial and learn some of the lingo before you drop yourself into- otherwise you'll be confused about what they're talking about. Now that being said, if you play the game or if you're willing to take a little time to get familiar with it- then this is a golden ticket to get you where you want to be. I know that there are some games that you just get stuck in one place and can't seem to move passed it... well, this guide definitely gives you a lot to work with to get your butt in gear and out of that spot. You should enroll if: I spent most of my time looking at the in-game and team-game sections. They really break things down, but again, you'll be totally lost if you have no understanding of the game. It will be like they're speaking a different language, because essentially they are- they're talking LoL. Check out their site, www.lolguides.com and see for yourself. Grab the trial and get some LoL knowledge shared with you. I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
The Blurb: 856 CE, Ireland is a land of myth, magic, and blood. Viking raiders have fought the Irish for over half a century. Rival Irish clans promise only betrayal and carnage. The Review: Andrea has done it again. She creates a world that we want to fall into with characters we really want to know. The setting is done in a way that really works. She's taken the time and effort to craft a world that is believable in both details, setting, and facts, but also the people that she's placed in it. Bram (perhaps, an little tribute to Stoker?) is a raider with no real prospects... it sucks to be the younger son, doesn't it? And Kaireen is a true Irish lass, she doesn't want anything to do with him (makes me think of Meirda in Brave). This would seem to be like a match made in Hades, but the chemistry between these two is likely to burn all those around them. Andrea weaves a spell with her words that draws her readers in and makes them want to know more. They need to know what will happen between these two. They become invested- a sign that the book is great. If you're a fan of period pieces, specifically with Vikings, you'll love this one. It's romance, but it's too good to sum up with just romance. Check it out. About the Author: Growing up in Houston, Texas, Andrea has always enjoyed creating characters and stories. But it wasn't until she was in her late twenties that she started writing novels. What happened that ignited the writing flame in her fingers? Divorced, and disillusioned by love songs and stories. They exaggerate. She thought. Love and Romance are not like that in the real world. Then she met her husband and realized, yes love and romance are exactly like the songs and stories say. She is now a happy wife, and a mom to three kids (two boys and a girl). Once she heard about a writer who never let her characters deviate from the script. If they did, she just killed them. How sad, she thought. For her one of the best parts of being a writer is letting the characters have a mind of their own and seeing where the story takes them. She loves this quote from Robert Frost, which sums up her opinion on allowing the characters their freedom: "No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. No surprise in the writer, no surprise in the reader." ― Robert Frost Andrea writes fantasy, paranormal and historical romance. When not writing or reading, one may find Andrea dancing in Zumba. She is excited to work with Crimson Romance on her forthcoming debut paranormal romance, The Garnet Dagger. She hopes you will enjoy the story as much as she did writing it. Viking Fire, her historical romance, is forthcoming late July 2013. She believes in the power of change and counting each moment as a blessing. But most importantly, she believes in love.
The Blurb: Forbidden to cross the Elvin barrier into human lands, Brock cannot sate his curiosity. Cursed by a vampyre bite that forces him to feed on the life-essence of others, he is unable to touch another without taking their life. Chained by prophesy, he must find a witch, pierce her heart, and draw her blood for his cure. Celeste must escape the monks who have held her prisoner for years. Her magic has been kept dormant by her captors. An ancient powerful Warloc craves her powers. If he succeeds in devouring her magic, she and the world will die. When Brock falls in love with Celeste before realizing her demise is his cure, will love triumph over his desire to be healed? Will he risk everything to save her from a Warloc, an oath breaker, who also wants her dead? Sensuality Level: Sensual The Review: How often do you come across an Elvin Vampyre (vampire)? Not really often. That seems to cross that invisible line between fantasy and paranormal... yeah a lot of paranormal writers will bring in the fantasy elements, but you don't frequently find a mixing of the two genres in the main character- well, that changes here. Andrea has taken the two concepts, the vampire and the elf and merged them into a sexy, determined, Elvin Vampyre named Brock. Now, before you sneer because how could you possibly merge two genres like that... hear me out. The book is really well written and I can promise you, you won't be focused on the whole fantasy/paranormal norms when you read this book. It's one of those books with the epic destiny of a fantasy book, but the raptured reader of a paranormal one. If you like star crossed lovers, vampires, elves, curses, destiny, and a general good read, then this is a good book for you to stink your teeth into. The Blurb: She has no idea she was born in another universe. The Review: This was the first one of Jackie's books that I've read, and I must admit that I'll be looking in to the others. Although I don't think that the blurb is exact to the story, it only really looks at a tiny piece instead of the overall picture, but that didn't stop the story from being awesome. I really enjoyed the concept of mixed universes. I liked Hannah and the world that she's thrown into and how she discovers she was smuggled as a little kid. That's really cool, in a strange multi-verse kinda way. I loved the creativity that it took to deal with the concept multiple plains of existence and the realistic way that she was able to spin them. This is a great read for sci-fi/fantasy readers! About the Author: USA TODAY bestselling novelist Jackie Diamond Hyman, who writes as Jacqueline Diamond, has sold more than ninety novels. They include mysteries, romantic suspense, romantic comedies, Regency romances, horror and fantasy. Jackie is a former Associated Press reporter based in Los Angeles. The Blurb: Being Promoted to project manager is a dream come true for 21 year old Julia Dayle (J.D.) Halstead. And her first project to to convert a turn-of-the-century school house into a Bed and Breakfast. The Review: This one of those books that suck you in. I wasn't sure how much I was going to like it in the beginning, but I wanted to give it a fair chance... I loved it. JD is a strong female- something that our literature needs more of. The fact that she is placed into a male dominated realm is perfect because you can really see her butt heads as she tries to show what's she worth in it. Jennifer does an great job a weaving the concepts of angels and demons into the book. It gives the reader a different look at JD than simply a B & B. I've always wanted a turn-of-the-century house, it just was never in the stars for me, but that hasn't stopped my love for them. This story totally connected to that part of me, and the person that loves a strong female lead. I can't wait to see what Jennifer comes up with next! Check it out if you like paranormal stories that are set in the real world. About the Author:
Growing up in the South Pacific as the oldest of eight children, Jennifer never lacked for fun and adventures. As an adult, Jennifer enjoyed working in the construction industry - first as an architectural drafter and then as a construction facilitator. Being promoted to mother was the best thing that ever happened to her as her passion for adventure was reignited. And the best way to find adventure for her and her young children was through the magic of storytelling and writing. Jennifer enjoys writing stories for children and adults as well. FALL is her second book following her children’s book, Earth and Sun, Rain and Earth. She currently resides in Utah with her husband, Jason, and their six children. Hey everyone, I had the pleasure of trying out 8hr Buzz. 8hr Buzz Energy Shot is a one ounce liquid energy shot designed to deliver a full energy boost. With zero net carbs, zero sugar and only 5 calories per pouch, 8hr Buzz Energy shots also come in various delicious flavors. Each pouch contains a host of B and C Vitamins, and other essential nutrients. My first impressions of the little packages was that it definitely has that "energy" drink feel. They are easy to slip into your purse or pocket to take on the go with you anywhere. I received four different flavors: Juicy Grape, Extra Bold Coffee, Peach Passionfruit, and Berry Blast. I'll be honest... I was scared to try them! LOL. They totally look and sound like something that would cause you BOUNCE OFF THE WALLS for 8 hours! I made hubby try the first one: Peach Passionfruit. He's a normal energy drink drinker- even if I don't agree. He wasn't a HUGE fan of the flavor. He said it was sour. He also didn't feel a huge kick of energy from it or anything. I don't know if it's because he drinks things like Monster or what, but for him it wasn't hit. It also made him a little hot. I decided to be brave and do it. I was gonna bit the bullet and face this energy drink fear. I grabbed the Berry Blast. For me, it was sour. At first, I only drank about half in fear of having a serious reaction. I didn't. I also didn't feel a huge kick from it. So, I drank the other half. What I felt was a slight boost to my energy, I suppose it could've last 8 hours. I'm not sure. This isn't a fail product or anything. I tried the other two flavors- even the grape one (I'm not a fan of anything grape, it just tastes like kids' medicine to me). I had the same reaction- a gentle boost. This is a great energy drink for people that don't drink the big energy drinks. I don't think those people would feel anything from it. But for us non-energy drink buzzers that need a little pick up ever now and then, this is the drink for you. It is a bit sour in my opinion, but it's not like they could dump tons of sugar into it. The back says it contains as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. It also says not to do more than one in a day. I'm not sure why... maybe because of the other stuff put into it. But I know some people that can drink a pot of coffee in one day. Oh, I have a sensitive tummy too, and I didn't have any adverse reaction to this. It was gentle enough not to upset my belly, and still give me a little boost (I'm a regular caffeinated soda drinker too). You can check out their FACEBOOK PAGE you can always ask them a ton of questions. They do giveaways and stuff on there, so if you're interested, fan them. They have a giveaway going right now. She loves to write and it is her dream that others will be inspired by this love and by her stories. Speculative fiction is fun, magical, and imaginative but great speculative fiction is about real people defining themselves through extraordinary situations. Christine writes primarily about people and it is in this way that she strives to make science fiction and fantasy meaningful for everyone. At the age of 16, Christine was diagnosed with Stargardt’s Disease, a condition that effects the retina and causes a loss of central vision. She is now legally blind, but has not let this slow her down or get in the way of her dreams. (You can learn more here.) In addition to writing, Christine teaches workshops on writing at Savvy Authors. She also does some freelance editing work. Christine currently lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, Austin, who has been her biggest fan and the key to her success. They have two beautiful children, Drake and Celeste. At 21, all she wants is to find a place for herself, but earning a living as a private investigator in the shadow of her family's reputation isn't easy. When she is pulled into a paranormal investigation, and tempted by a powerful and handsome sorcerer, she will have to decide where she truly belongs. The Excerpt: My parents think the longer the name, the more powerful the sorcerer, so they named me Cassandra Morgan Ursula Margaret Scot. You can call me Cassie. The Review: First off, I'd like to say that Christine is freaking amazing. Even with the difficult cards she has been dealt in life, she still has created such awesomeness!
I absolutely love this story... seems to be a theme lately, right? But I do! I totally feel for Cassie. I think we've all had moments where we just don't fit in with our family. Christine has done a great job at not only making a great main character, but those that she interacts with as well. They each seem to have their own personality and traits that make you want to get to know each one of them. I really wanna know about the side characters. There is so much potential for spin off series just on the siblings alone! (Just a hint, in case you're reading, Christine! And if you need a reviewer, pick me, pick me!) The setting is great because it falls in the land of normal mixed with the paranormal. A place that most of our fantasies and daydreams take place anyways. Christine crafts details really well so it feels like we're experiencing it all with the characters. Cassie is one of those characters that you feel like you have had a friend like that or even been like that- she's real. I appreciate real characters because you can connect with them easier. She's the kind of girl you want in your life. Oh, and then there is Evan. Can we have more of him, please? I want to know what has caused the bad blood... more about that kisser of his... more about... well, just more! GIVE ME MORE! I totally recommend this for everyone! Okay, if you don't like romantic novels (not that this is overly romantic), you might not enjoy this as much as someone else that does. Just check it out! Don't we all, well those of us of a particular age, remember when Pluto was still a planet? The fact isn't lost that my two kids will grow up believing it's not- because it got downsized. SO ridiculous! Anyways, back to my point... this AWESOME T-SHIRT OF AWESOMENESS! First, it came really quickly! A huge plus in my eyes. I hate waiting, and the wonderful people of Snorg Tees did even make me wait and I'm just a reviewer! How cool is that? A + for customer service and speed! Second, the shirt is SO soft. I've reviewed other shirts, that were not soft. Ya know, you had to wash them a few times and they still hold that "eh" feel. Not this shirt. It's soft and makes you want to put it on as soon as you rip into the package! Three, LOOK AT THE DESIGN! How cute is that? I mean, seriously? I love it! It's FREAKING ADORABLE! I ordered a ladies shirt, so it's fitted. Probably not the best idea since I am not the smallest lady in the world and it's snug. But I wouldn't change it for the world! If you have ta-tas, then you'll be showing them off if you get a ladies cut. I'm not sure how their regular tees feel or fit, but even with the slightly snugger feel and curve hugging aspects of this shirt, it's still a HUGE RECOMMENDATION FOR ME! What does all of this mean for you?
