College freshman Owen Sage has just started to understand the darkness trying to overtake Everville and the earthly realm. With the help of The Keeper and the Fron army, Owen has managed to buy some time, but new problems have already emerged, new secrets need to be revealed, and the race against time to stop Them from conquering both dimensions has only just begun. The Keeper, Owen Sage, and his friends at Easton Falls University must now battle threats from within. To do it, they must reunite with familiar creatures and join forces with new ones as they navigate their journey to the truth that awaits them in Everville.
If you like fantasy with a twist, then you'll enjoy this book... although, I think the books need to be read in order. This is the second book in the series.
Roy has created another story with characters that are fun to read, and creatures that are amazing and fantastical in their creation.
This book picks up right where the last one left off, following Owen and his quest to stop Them from ultimately invading Earth- even if they're only in Everville right now.
It's a good continuation of the story. It's a good fantasy setting as well. For those that are looking for an adult take on fantasy, you won't find it here. It's more for teens.
But if you enjoy easy reads, or know of a teen fantasy lover, you might check it out!
