The Harry Potter Series by, J.K Rowling is my favorite followed by Patricia C Wrede's "Enchanted Chronicles" & "Frontier Magic" Series.

Right now my favorite is the Raine Benares series from Lisa Shearin. It is a fantasy but it has the faster pace and humor of an urban fantasy.
