You gotta love when you write this long thing and the site EATS IT! So here's my attempt number two to get my thoughts back up on this awesome blanket!
I wanted to wait to write the review until I had washed it at least twice - things have to hold up in a household with two monsters and regular spills and washes! That said, let's talk about it...
The blanket has awesome crispness! As you can see from the photos, the pictures came out great! The blanket itself is thin fleece, but it's still good enough to keep you warm when you want a thin throw. I'd love to check out their plushy one, but from what I understand you lose some of the crispness of the images when you go for plushier.
The blanket does great with washing! I'll admit I didn't read the directions, but we always wash on cold anyways because we are on well water and the washer is in the well house. I did dry it on regular since I had thrown it in with other items. I didn't have any bleeding, shrinkage, or images messing up. It came out PERFECT!
The kiddos love the blanket because it's great to lay back and point out memories or ask about people that have come before them. It's also a great throw, so it sits on the back of the couch - they love throws so there are always like five on the back of our couch.
The site is super easy to use. They even allow you to port images from social networks. This was AWESOME because FB has a lot of my images that I don't have physical or any other digital copies of. It allowed me to take some of people that are gone and add them to the blanket! I LOVE THAT! Also, setting up the blanket is a breeze. You can play about with the layout and image placement. I went for as many pictures as possible as you can see. But you could totally do less. They also have this great feature where you can add a background - keeping those edges and borders AWESOME! I love lots of colors and designs - but they also do just plain colors too!
I think I got it all down again. I'm not sure. Hopefully this time it doesn't eat it! I totally recommend this blanket to save your memories! It is awesome! And the company (Collage.com) will be a must stop for things that need collages done!
