Mything You, my book, is all about Greek mythology, only it’s about human beings in ancient times. They are not gods or demi gods. Theseus and Ari are humans, though the ancient world is littered with giants, murderers, and Minotaurs to kill. My heroes do not possess super power, unless you count Hercules teaching you how to fight.
Getting back to aliens, though, the idea I could use humans in that time frame came from Ancient Aliens episode on the Greek Gods. Triggered something fascinating in me, and I was glued to my TV set.
Like Jesse, I’m doing Nanowrimo. The sequel is all about done, but I’ll hold off sending it to the editor until time has passed for me to give it another look through. The write, write, don’t stop, don’t edit rush means there are mistakes to catch!
But I’m plenty busy with writing. I have my shiny new contract with Corvallis Press for my straight no magic, no aliens, but real world contemporary series. Romantic Comedy and I do love those too.
Even my sci fi world is more romantic comedy in the first book and the one I’m penning now. The third one might be too. I don’t think I’m funny at all, but people think my space cadet writing amusing. Two Weeks in Miami to me is a sweet tale of ‘what happens when a girl can’t speak to boys and the man of her dreams appears?’ No Charlotte isn’t 15, she’s 30, but with hot men she never had any skills. This will be published under the real name, Victoria Pinder
Today I put shaving cream in my hair for conditioner on accident, and the day has been a haywire kind of day while I write this out for Jesse. Either way the host here rocks for letting me hop up to talk. If there is anything she needs from me, ask! Tomorrow my serious side must come back, and I’ll be more practical minded then. Take care and hugs!

Victoria Pinder grew up in Irish Catholic Boston before moving to the Miami sun. She’s worked in engineering, then became a lawyer. After realizing she hates clients, she became a high school teacher. Teaching is fun, but writing is a passion. She wrote one hundred and one fan fiction stories online before deciding to transition into writing her own stories. Never ask her to republish her fan stories from age eleven- horribly written stories of princesses. Victoria dreams of writing professionally, where her barista can make her coffee and a walk on the beach, can motivate her tales. Theseus story came to her when she was a freshman in high school as her English teacher, the nun, told her how life was hard and tragedy teaches lessons. Victoria’s love of writing has kept her centered and focused. How is she crazy? The voices in her head are characters in novels and she’s not insane.
