Here's my impressions of the scale:
The tempered glass aspect still kind of worries me for a household with kids in it... but I've had mine for a few weeks and so far, it's still in one piece.
It activates as soon as you step on it. I also think that it needs to be a totally level spot for the most accurate readings. So if you have any slightly unleveled areas, just don't put it there.
In going against one of my other scales, it was typically accurate within one pound. If I moved it to a spot that wasn't quite as level, the difference could be 3 pounds.
It has a nice large display, the numbers are easily read and it's a piece of cake to use.
It's a good scale, at a great price. Definitely worth the money.
