The blurb:
Can one woman, genetically linked to a time of witch burnings and religious persecution, prevent a devastating global war between conflicting ideologies in the near future?
Three women hold the key.
In the year 1624, Mair Griffiths is executed for witchcraft in Wales.
While, in 2060, Jeena H Roberts commands a top-secret mission using experimental technology. This is an attempt to capture the perpetrators of the outrage that acted as a catalyst for a war that thrust the world into flames.
And in 1986, Helen Ross travels to Wales in search of her birth family. But what she discovers in the ancient stones of that land of magic and melancholy is far more ominous than she could ever imagine
Wow! That was the first thing I thought after I stayed up all night just to finish reading this book. I was shocked at the depth of the characters and the elaborate construction of the plot in this book. Lesley must have had to plot of every detail in order to keep it straight in the beginning! This books takes you from several time frames, following several characters on their stories. But somehow they are connecting, yet separate! I loved each of the strong females. Reading how Lesley connected some of her own roots to this book definitely makes it more personal. I don't know of another book quite like this one. It is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys books about heritage, finding history, life lessons, strong women... I think there are far too many categories that this book could fit in that people would in enjoy! Simply put, read it. If you get the print copy do not run in fear at its huge size, just know that each page is filled with heartfelt characters with outstandingly constructed storylines. I hope that Lesley writes other books just like this one.
